Hyderabad 14, 15 & 16 April 2016
This is a 3-day training that offers simple and powerful approaches for showing up with authenticity and respect, and to co-create together the change we want to see in ourselves, our communities, our organisations and our world.
Also called the Art of Hosting and Harvesting conversations that matter, this approach offers participatory models, processes and practices to help us stay connected and heartfelt as we work with diverse groups and opinions, take effective action to solve complex issues, and navigate uncertainty and change. It is an approach that is gathering momentum internationally as an effective way to bring people together as equals and access our collective intelligence.
Grow your ability to make a positive contribution as a leader, an organizer, a manager, an employee or a citizen in these challenging economic and social times. The three day workshop will provide participants with an introduction to a range of participatory approaches such as Open Space Technology, World Cafe, Circle practice and Appreciative Inquiry that can be used to develop a more inclusive approach to decision-making and general management issues. The event will focus on how to tap into the wisdom and resources of groups in order to create and facilitate powerful conversations that lead to useful and implementable results.
The India Art of Participatory Leadership training is part of a wider call that the international Art of Hosting community is responding to with trainings in other parts of India now and later. This particular training will be hosted by experienced practitioners from Europe, in co-creation with the emerging Indian practitioners.

New Delhi, 22 April 2016:
This is an introductory workshop about skill building, practicing and exploring participatory leadership approaches and concepts.
We invite you to explore together powerful processes which ignite leadership from within, and enable participatory collaboration for innovative sustainable solutions:
- How can we create spaces for people to come together in conversation and action that serves both the collective and the individual?
- How do we work in ways where everyone makes a contribution and everyone is valued?
- How can we inspire each other to take the next steps in our own journey of purpose?
How can you
- Invite success in your organisation?
- Transform your leadership style to adapt to organisational culture and situations?
- Build networks of support and empowerment among the teams and people who otherwise may work in isolation?
- Lead teams to face challenges and identify opportunities to overcome obstacles?
- Learn practices to engage skillfully with conflict and stuck patterns?
This session will unfold around two leadership aspects:
- personal leadership: deepen your own capacity to effect transformation in a complex world
- participatory leadership: how to travel with others towards a common goal in a way that honours both individual and collective potential.
